Later on, I heard this other story: The order of assignment to the zodiac cycle would be decided by the order in which the animals arrived to the party. The Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived at the finish line, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox, becoming first.

It will start with a magnificent lantern exhibition, and a lineup of interactive games and performances to showcase the rich heritage of Asian traditions during the 2020 Lunar New Year Celebrations. Lion dances, Fai Chun writing and magic shows are all part of the fun that will take place on the weekend of January 25 and 26th.

During the fifteen-day celebrations, temporary installations of lanterns will come to life in different shapes and colours; they will illuminate the Dragon City Mall at the heart of Chinatown.
