二月份通胀涨幅1.4% 食品价格上涨仍是罪魁
尽管汽油价格下跌，加拿大二月份年通胀率涨幅1.4%。据加拿大统计局，，食品价格上涨为通胀涨幅的罪魁。
Despite the decline in gasoline prices, Canada’s annual inflation rate rose 1.4 per cent in Feb. Food was still a major factor causing the increase of annual inflation rate in Feb., according to StatsCan.
二月份通胀率比一月份的2.0%有所下降，下降原因主要为汽油价格下跌。如果排除汽油价格，加拿大二月份消费价格指数会达到1.9%。统计局表示食品仍二月份物价涨幅的罪魁，而这一现象已持续数月之久。与去年同期（二月）相比，消费者的食品支出上涨了3.9%。

总的来说，消费价格指数的八大组成部分中的六个已经上涨。

如果排除汽油的影响，那么核心通胀率仅有1.9%, 比一月份的2.0%还要低。
此前经济学家预计加拿大的整体通胀率是1.5%；核心通胀率是 2.0%。
另一份报告指出，加拿大统计局显示由于汽车及其零部件的带动，一月份零售行业异常强劲。
总体而言，零售业一月份达到442亿元，相较于十二月份的432亿元上涨了2.1%。
汽车和零部件的销售占据了一月份零售业大约四分之一的额度, 比十二月上涨了4.8% 至116亿元。
全国有八个省份在一月份的零售业都有上涨。而与十二月的业绩相比，阿省下降了0.2%，爱德华王子岛下降了0.1%。
