The Globe investigation revealing allegations that members of Canada’s Chinese community were asked to pay a ticket price in excess of legal donation limit to attend a Liberal fundraiser has again put the Liberal’s cash-for-access schemes under intense scrutiny, raising concerns over where the over-the-limit donation went and who have benefited from it. It has prompted opposition parties to call for Canada Elections to investigate and for Trudeau to stop the practice.
